Litecoin (LTC) is a cryptocurrency that was created as a bistan of Bitcoin in 2011. It aims to provide a faster, cheaper, and easier payment method than Bitcoin. By using different hash algorithms (SCRYPT), higher supply upper limit (84 million), shorter outlet time (2.5 minutes) to fulfill. Litecoin is one of the oldest and most widely used cryptocurrencies, and has been supported by various merchants, exchanges, wallets and payment processors. Litecoin is also a test site for new technologies and innovation, which may be implemented on Bitcoin, such as Segwit and Lightning Networks.
